Our Little Girl is "4"

Our little girl turned 4 today! We had a fun party with family in Asheville over the weekend. She got her first bicycle and is riding like a pro. She has been showered with cards and phone calls from family and friends and "Happy Birthday" wishes from everyone she met today and told it was her birthday!

Thank you Lord for our precious daughter. She brings incredible joy to our lives every day. We rejoice in the day you created her and the day you gave her to us!

The Joy of Simple Things

Olivia at her gymnastics ceremony. She absolutely loves gymnastics and is doing well. She will be moving up to Fliptastics this summer as she continues to build her skills.

Olivia is thrilled to be in a booster seat. She has been talking about it forever. I found this really cute seat at Babies-R-Us. It has little night lights on it and is leopard print...so cute.

Enjoying swim lessons at the YMCA. If Olivia is with other children - she is happy - it doesn't matter what she's doing!

Mother's Day

It has been a wonderful Mother's Day! Mark and Olivia have showered me with love. They gave me a beautiful rose bush and took me to lunch. Olivia made a sweet card in Sunday School and gave me a marigold. Our time at church was filled with moving music and a powerful and challenging message from II Kings about Elisha and the Shunammite Woman. My precious mother-in-law sent me a photo album filled with photos of me and Olivia. Mark always gives me the greatest cards and this occasion was no exception....so funny and true! Thank you Lord for the privilege to be a mother...I am so blessed!

PACKAGE FROM NANA

Sweet Pea has been sick all week. Today she is feeling better and was all smiles when she saw a package had arrived for her. She loves getting mail...especially packages from nana. They're always full of wonderful things like clothes, toys and of course candy. Here she is wearing her new favorite shirt.

We Love Our Church

We are so blessed to be a part of Mt. Pleasant church and are grateful for each individual who is investing in the life of our precious Olivia. Church is one of Olivia's favorite places to be...her favorite is with nana and papa in Asheville. This past Sunday she sang with the Cherub Choir. They sang "When I Was a Little Fish" and "Swing Low Sweet Chariot". She is quite the little singer. At home she sings from sun up until sun down! I never grow tired of hearing her expressions of love and happiness as she sings throughout the day.

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!

Happy Gotcha Day!

April 4th we celebrated "Gotcha Day" ~ the day we got Olivia. One of our traditions is to give her a gift we purchased for her in China. This year she received a purse and a beautiful painting for her room. Daddy celebrated from afar...he is in China!

It's hard to believe we have been a forever family for 3 years. Olivia has changed our lives in ways we never imagined. She brings wonder, beauty and joy to every day. With grateful hearts we praise God who ordained her to be ours before the beginning of time.
