We Love Our Church

We are so blessed to be a part of Mt. Pleasant church and are grateful for each individual who is investing in the life of our precious Olivia. Church is one of Olivia's favorite places to be...her favorite is with nana and papa in Asheville. This past Sunday she sang with the Cherub Choir. They sang "When I Was a Little Fish" and "Swing Low Sweet Chariot". She is quite the little singer. At home she sings from sun up until sun down! I never grow tired of hearing her expressions of love and happiness as she sings throughout the day.

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are his.

Happy Gotcha Day!

April 4th we celebrated "Gotcha Day" ~ the day we got Olivia. One of our traditions is to give her a gift we purchased for her in China. This year she received a purse and a beautiful painting for her room. Daddy celebrated from afar...he is in China!

It's hard to believe we have been a forever family for 3 years. Olivia has changed our lives in ways we never imagined. She brings wonder, beauty and joy to every day. With grateful hearts we praise God who ordained her to be ours before the beginning of time.

We're studying China this month in Mission Friends. Isn't she just the cutest little China doll ever!

A New Home for my Babies!

Olivia loves her babies and she has plenty of them to love. She has each of them named and she takes such good care of them. For some time we have been looking for a bassinet to put them in as they had completely taken over her entire room. We were so blessed to find this used bassinet with a mattress and skirt for an unbelievable price. It is so precious and she says her babies are really enjoying their new bed!

Happy Easter

Because "Jesus Lives" our lives are forever changed! Olivia loves to talk about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This year our church performed the "Passion Play." During the scene when Jesus was on the cross she turned to me and asked "mommy why did God turn His back on Jesus.?" Last week she was sitting quietly and I asked "Olivia what are you doing?" "Oh nothing mommy, I'm just thinking about God." She gets it!

We had a great Easter weekend! Talking about what Easter means and why it is important in our lives, spending time with family, baking cupcakes and having fun at the church Easter party.
